Fizz was created to be an uplifting digital space for Gen Z and a go-to destination to stay updated on all things in your community, whether in college or beyond. Users can share and engage through photos, memes, GIFs, polls, and more. We strictly prohibit posting private information about users, bullying, hate speech, and obscene text or images.
Read our Community Guidelines for more information.
Fizz prides itself on keeping the identity and data of its users safe. All users agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before joining.
We recruit trained student moderators from each Fizz community, currently more than 8,000 across the platform. Moderators attend the campus they moderate, so they read context that an outside reviewer cannot. Moderators see exactly what any other user can see, except that they have the ability to remove posts that violate our Community Guidelines.
All moderators undergo training to ensure objectivity. Given that Fizz's moderation operates through a democratic voting system, no single moderator can unilaterally remove any post or content.
To ensure the safety of our college communities and restrict access exclusively to verified members, we require college users to confirm an email address with the .edu domain corresponding to their school or by providing a valid proof of enrollment.

We monetize through brand partnerships. Brands reach students through native in-feed posts, sponsored polls, front door takeovers, push notifications, creator content, and on-campus activations. All paid placements are labeled as sponsored, and we run a deliberately small set of advertisers rather than maximizing ad load. You can learn more at Advertise on Fizz.
Yes. Fizz is free to use and supported by brand partnerships. Ads appear in the feed alongside posts, and we keep the number of advertisers deliberately low so the feed stays readable. Ads never use your personal information, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.
Yes. Every paid placement is clearly marked as sponsored. If a post is from a brand, you will always be able to tell.
We vet advertisers before they run and hold a high bar for the brands we work with. Brands cannot target individual users, cannot access your personal information, and are subject to the same Community Guidelines as everyone else.
